FAQ

Peter is an author and an illustrator, so he is a big fan of words and pictures. For this reason, he has included a LOT of them on this website! If you need some help finding your way around, please read our Frequently Asked Questions below. Hopefully our answers will point you in the right direction.

“Will you come to my school, or speak at my event?”
Peter would love to come for a visit! You can find information on his appearances HERE, and information on his rates HERE.

“I have written a story for kids. Will you create the artwork for it?”
“I am at the beginning of my writing and illustrating career. How do I get published?”
Peter has some TIPS that might help you get started.

“Can I have a poster or print of this page in your book?”
At this time, Peter is unable to print images for individual requests. But he has many great prints already available HERE.

“How do you come up with the ideas for your books?”
Peter takes inspiration from the world around him. That could mean anything from a very big tree, to a very busy bird, to a towering city building. For The Curious Garden, for example, Peter was inspired by an elevated park built upon old train tracks near his home in New York.

“What’s your next project?”
Peter is currently working on his third novel for kids, entitled The Wild Robot Protects. Stay tuned!
